Taihe is one of the few places where the hotels would not increase the room rate during Canton Fair, just ranging from US$5 to US$25.

It is a small village far from downtown, yet, with highway, it just takes 20 minutes taxi to Baiyun International Airport, and around 35 minutes to Pazhou.

There is no metro. You can still find a taxi in the village center, but further into the village, it is not so convenient, getting a taxi, you could ask the hotel staffs for help, they would call for a taxi to pick you up.

If you need to find a place to settle down right after your mid-night flight landing, and haven’t decide where to stay, Taihe is worth considering. Even though it is a bit remote, you can still find Chinese restaurants, stores and banks here, but without much entertainment.

For those who would like to visit downtown and CBDs very often, Taihe is not a good choice because of its inconvenient transport to downtown. Usually, it is a place for relaxing as there are resorts with delighting nature, and the air is really fresh. People come here for holidays, get together with friends and taste the folk style household dish. If you are interested in it, the “Shaojichang”(barbeque chicken “square”) should be your must-try.
