Chancheng & Guicheng, the downtown district of Foshan, is located west next to Guangzhou. It takes about one hour’s drive to Canton Fair venue (Pazhou).

The star hotels in this area will increase around 60% or at most double the room rates during Canton Fair (mainly ranging from US$40 to US$100), so living in the 4 or 5 star hotels, you may save at least US$60 per day, compared to staying in the same level hotels in Guangzhou. Most of them would provide free shuttle bus to Pazhou.

However, most of the three star and below hotels will not provide free shuttle bus to Pazhou. Taking a taxi from here to Pazhou would cost about RMB100. Or you can rent a van when traveling in a group.

Therefore, accommodating in the budget hotels or hostels in Foshan would not be so convenient for Canton Fair visitors, except for those who have business or attend the exhibitions in Foshan.
