Nansha district is located in the southern border of Guangzhou, with the NanshaPort where there are ferries to Hong Kong every two hours (about 80 minutes to Hong Kong). However, it is far from Pazhou, about 80 minutes by taxi, or one hour by metro from station Jinzhou to Pazhou.

Nansha is an economic and technological development zone, where there are factories for mechanical assembling service and auto industry. As a newly developed area it is clean and quiet.

Jinzhou, the terminal station of No.4 metro line, is the central area in Nansha, with residential areas. Here you will be able to find some really cheap accommodations starting from US$10, with basic and neat rooms. Most of them will not increase room rates during Canton Fair. Of course, some of the low priced hostels would not offer professional service or standard facilities like internet access.

Transport here are mainly public bus, there are also some taxi, as well as motorcycle to commute between the hotels and metro station.

Daily life in the residential area is convenient. It is easy to find various restaurants (even western food) from low to medium end, snacks, stores, as well as Internet café, banks, etc.

There are also some entertainment facilities and scenic spots, such as Nanasha Golf Club, NanshaTianhouPalace, etc.

If you do not mind the long distance from Pazhou and downtown, and just like to find a quiet resting place, Nansha would be your choice. Also, you will be able to feel the pulse of a new zone’s development, especially comparing the modern and busy city with the rural scenery when traveling on the No.4 metro line.
