Area around Beijing Road is one of the busiest shopping centers, which is considered as the downtown in Guangzhou.

Transportation in this area is very convenient. In most part of it, it would be easily access to the metro station within 15 minutes by walk. It takes 20 to 30 minutes to Pazhou by metro, and a little longer by taxi for its busy traffic in this area.

The so-called area around Beijing Road is divided by us according to the similarities of the environment, is far more larger than just walking distance from Beijing Road, the pedestrian street. It includes the Yanjiang Bar Street and Onelink Plaza, the toys and decor wholesale market to the southwest, Highsun electrical appliance and fabric wholesale markets to the southeast. Also there are China Plaza, another shopping center east to Beijing Road, and Huaisheng Mosque to the west, where there are stores selling Muslim foods. You can also find some historical tourist spots in this area.

Many budget hotels, whose rates during Canton Fair would range from US$40 to US$90 with all necessary facilities, are available here. There are also several star-rating hotels which provide high end services.

Walking from Beijing Road, for around 15 minutes, you will get to the western bar street (Yanjiang Road) along Pearl River. Staying in the hotels on Yanjiang Road, you would be able to enjoy the scene of Pearl River, yet most of the rooms facing the river would charge higher price.
