This is the place very close to Pazhou, Canton Fair venue, less than 10 minutes taxi away. Metro is available in a few minutes walking.

West next to Canton Fair venue, there’s Chigang town (nearby is Chigang metro station), with banks, Chinese restaurants, McDonald’s, and convenience stores. It is also easy to take a bus to every corner of Guangzhou here. But the air is not fresh enough and it’s noisy around. If you want to enjoy a tranquil period here, this certainly is not your best choice.

Average hotel prices for standard double room range from US$40 to US$60 in two-star hotels during Canton Fair, where only basic facilities such as televisions, air-conditioning, 24-hour hot water are available. The ones which charge above US$80 are with better facilities, including free shuttle bus to Pazhou.

East next to Canton Fair Venue, there’s Wanshengwei town (nearby is Wanshengwei metro station). Before the development of Pazhou venue, Wanshengwei is just the rural area. In recent years, there is much development, so you would find it an area in the transition between modern and tradition.

Some brand new hotels with modern facilities are built recently, shuttle buses to Pazhou venue are also provided. During Canton Fair, their room rates would just range from US$40 –80. Besides, you would also find some guesthouses run by private family which mainly target local clientele. They charge very low price, for instance, when you share a double room with your friend, and it just cost you US$5 per night per person. But if it is legal or safe, depends on your fortune, and you need to try hard to look for those guesthouses.

Visiting most of the budget hotels in Guangzhou, we believe that for the ones who are looking for accommodation with great proximity to Pazhou, the hotels in Wanshengwei would offer the best choice of value for money.
