Guangzhou Impression
I am traveling in Guangzhou today.
If someone asks me which place is the least place I want to go...Definitely I would say it is Guangzhou and Shenzhen!!!
These two cities give me a great sense of UNSAFETY. Yes unsafety.
Even when I walk on the busiest street of the cities, I worry about getting robbed.
I never fall asleep on taxi when I travel in GZ and SZ...
I always open windows of the taxi, because there just was a case that some passenger was made unconscious and got robbed by taxi drivers...
Every new tricks to scam people seem to be invented from these two places.
I also hate the feeling that those seemingly mean-no-good strangers staring at you whenever you walk out of airport, train station, and anywhere.
It is such a sad thing that the cities are of such a terrible reputation because of their people.
I remember some friend told me that he moved to Shenzhen and felt so unhappy, because in his eyes Shenzhen is just a place of emotionless personal-relationship, and a city with no cultural inside.
Somehow it is true.
Guangzhou and Shenzhen opened up to the outside world among the very first in China, while they just forgot to keep the fine part of all human nature...It is totally ruined by the economy-is-everything notion!
I think Shanghai's air pollution is already very bad...But I didn't expect it is even much worse in Guangzhou ---- I feel difficult to breathe, and feel sick here due to the air pollution and vehicle exhaust... |
