General speaking, there are 2 types of nightlife in Guangzhou.
One is the western bar and pub, where you can order all types of western drink in a western environment. The other is the Chinese nightclub, sauna, karaoke, etc. where they would arrange young girls to accompany you, then you decide what to do afterwards. Western bar and pub in Guangzhou is mainly concentrated in the following 3 areas:
◆Huanshi Road, in city center, close to Garden Hotel
◆Yanjiang Road, along the bank of Pearl River (Zhujiang)
◆Bai'e Tan Bar street, located at Changdi Road on the bank of White Goose Pond, opposite to White Swan Hotel in Fangcun
◆Other than these 3 main bar streets in Guangzhou, some clubs and pubs are dispersed along Huanshi Road and Dongfeng Road, not far from the business area.
Nightclub and sauna There are many types of Chinese style nightlife, including nightclub, sauna house, karaoke, etc. Usually, they would arrange young girls to accompany you to drink, play and sing, and you can bring those girls to go outside afterwards.
This kind of Chinese style nightlife can be found in different part of city, you can also find many of nightclubs in other small cities around Guangzhou.
Chinese companies always like to go to these places for business entertainment. Yet, you need to bear in mind that most of them cannot speak English.
